New entry requirements for visitors to Georgia - Mandatory insurance requirement from 1 January 2026.

Starting from January 1, 2026, all tourists entering the territory of Georgia must hold a valid health and accident insurance policy. The insurance policy must be presented in either physical or electronic form (in Georgian or in English).

The insurance policy may be issued by either a Georgian or a foreign insurance company, must cover the entire stay (including arrival and departure dates), and the insurance coverage amount must be no less than 30,000 GEL.​
