Vaccination Requirements for Travel to Saudi Arabia

Passengers traveling to Saudi Arabia must comply ​​with vaccination requirements to ensure public health and safety according to the details as it’s shown below:

  • 1. Poliovirus Vaccine

    • Requirement: Passengers who are traveling from or transiting through countries with active poliovirus circulation must present proof of polio vaccination.

    • Countries Included:
    Afghanistan, Guinea, Pakistan, Mozambique, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, Republic of Congo, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Sudan, Kenya, South Sudan, United Republic of Tanzania.

    • ​Exemptions:
    • Transit passengers who are staying in the airport for less than 12 hours.
    • Saudi citizens and residents are exempt from the vaccine requirement upon arrival in the Kingdom from all countries listed in the circular.

    • Validity: Vaccination must be administered at least 4 weeks and no more than 6 months before arrival.

  • 2. Yellow Fever Vaccine

    • Requirement: Passengers arriving from countries with a high risk of yellow fever transmission must pres​ent a valid vaccination certificate.

    • Countries Included:
    Africa: Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Condo, Cote D’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Sudan, Togo, Uganda. South America: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Venezuela.

    • Exemptions:
    • Children under the age of 9 months.
    • Transit passengers who are staying in the airport for less than 12 hours.

    • Validity: Vaccination must be administered no less than 10 days before arrival.
